About the Role

We're seeking a BIM / 3D Modeling Specialist to join a leading national mechanical contracting firm specializing in HVAC, plumbing, and building automation systems for large-scale projects such as data centers, hospitals, and commercial buildings. This position plays a key role in creating and maintaining precise 3D models that support the design, coordination, and construction process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed 3D models of building systems, including mechanical, piping, and plumbing components.
  • Collaborate with designers and engineers to ensure accuracy, constructability, and seamless integration of all systems.
  • Review and verify models for completeness and coordination issues.
  • Deliver finalized models to field and construction teams.
  • Stay current with BIM standards, tools, and best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 1-2 years of relevant experience in BIM or 3D modeling (fresh mechanical engineering graduates will also be considered).
  • Education: Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Strong proficiency with BIM and 3D modeling software (Revit experience preferred).
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities - personality and teamwork are key to success in this role.

Additional Details

  • Locations: Portland, OR (onsite). Additional openings available in Pasadena, Costa Mesa, Concord, Phoenix, and Austin.
  • Reports To: BIM Team Lead.
  • Focus: Supporting major data center and large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Work Arrangement: Primarily onsite; partial remote flexibility may be considered following the interview and assessment process.
